Six Embroidered Panels of Longevity and Good Fortune

Konteks dan interpretasi

Setiap panel memuat dua puluh empat variasi salah satu aksara, su atau bok. Benang emas meniru beragam gaya kaligrafi dan bentuk piktografis, membuat pesan yang berulang terus berubah secara visual. Huruf tetap dapat dibaca oleh mereka yang mengenal hanja, sehingga hiasan menggabungkan tulisan dengan pola.

Deskripsi visual

Keenam panel sekarang berbingkai. Museum menghubungkannya dengan kebiasaan memasang sulaman sebagai layar lipat dan menduga pemilik bangsawan atau istana, tetapi asal kepemilikan tersebut tidak pasti. Pembuat individual tidak diketahui.
